Platform Manager – Salesforce

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Platform Manager to oversee CBN’s global application platform, Saleforce.  Our IT division uses state of the art cloud and on premise technologies to provide back-office and customer-facing digital products and solutions. This includes the use of Salesforce cloud-based CRM for marketing and fundraising in support of our global ministries and humanitarian services through CBN International, Operation Blessing, as well as other CBN functions.

We are seeking a renaissance leader to serve as Platform Manager, leading the IT team responsible for all our Salesforce development. You will be responsible for the long-term vision, architecture, roadmap, and success of the platform implementation in addressing strategic business goals and tactical needs.  Responsibilities include platform implementation, training, ongoing maintenance and support, enhancements, and customizations.  Business needs and responsibilities may span multiple business units and may include international business units. Project ownership accountability will span the entire life cycle from concept to closure.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in Information Technology
  • Experience with structured project management methodologies
  • Experience managing platforms, products, and projects in a matrixed environment
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and develop strategies to respond to customer needs
  • System development lifecycle experience with both custom development and package integration
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling practices and techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  Has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team involving members of both IT and the business community
  • Experience with the introduction of new technologies and standards in an unstructured environment
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies, IT practices, or business processes. Recommend platform direction to meet trends in technology and business practice.
  • Working knowledge of digital media, consumer services and non-profit fundraising business models.  Experience with Salesforce/CRM software a strong plus.
  • Experience leading projects implementing and integrating packaged software
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
