Police Administrative Assistant

CBN / Regent Campus Police Department – Virginia Beach, VA

CBN/Regent Campus Police Department is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Professional Standards and Training Division and support the office of the Chief of Police. This role requires a detailed understanding of police department operations and procedures.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • One to three years’ experience offering administrative support
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to complete and maintain Virginia Criminal Information Network operator certification and a Virginia Concealed Weapons permit
  • Must possess the manual dexterity and strength necessary to safely operate a firearm
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or ability to obtain
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize work and report progress
  • Excellent oral and written communication/public relations skills
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to interact with staff, students and public in a positive manner
  • Ability to work well independently and as an effective member of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Submit to pre-employment drug screening and random urinalysis as directed
