Service Desk Analyst (D.C.)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Service Desk Analyst to provide on-site technical support for its News Bureau in Washington, D.C.  This professional will identify, research, and resolve advanced IT issues ranging from software installation and computer configuration to complex hardware problem resolution.

The successful applicant with have the following qualifications:

  • 3 or more years’ experience installing and configuring computer hardware & software in a network environment. Experience in client end user support of applications preferred.
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience in help desk support in a lead position.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MAC OS 10.x.x is desired.
  • Experience working with: Adobe Creative Cloud Software, News Services software (i.e. ENPS), Desktop, Audio, and Video publishing software is desired
  • Working knowledge of various software such as: Active Directory, FTP, VPN, Remote Desktop and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience working with Malware, Adware, and Virus diagnostic utilities.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 operating system
  • Familiar with cabling, switches, printers, mobile phones and iPad
  • Prompter experience (Auto Que, Win Q) desired
  • Knowledge of current and developing technologies with ability to analyze and document for use in current environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with all levels of CBN staff and outside public
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and asking effective trouble-shooting questions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong ability to keep abreast of current and developing technologies, analyze possibilities, and present ideas and solutions in user-friendly terms
  • Flexible and adaptable with ability to work independently as an effective member of a team
  • 40-hour on-site work week with on-call availability. Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
