Supreme Court Justice Documentary, 'Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words'

One of the quietest but most influential figures in Washington is opening up in a new documentary.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas talks about his life, including his historic confirmation hearings in a new documentary.

Director Michael Pack told CBN News why he felt that Thomas should be the one to tell his own story.

"We heard that Justice Thomas was tired of having his story told by him enemies, full of misrepresentations and half-truths…so, in talking to him and researching it, I realized what a great story he had to tell. We were originally going to interview other people but really he's the one who knows his story best."

Pack said that throughout the documentary, Thomas speaks right to the camera - telling viewers first-hand about his life.

"We picked this title because he speaks directly to the camera. He's talking directly to the viewer, telling them about his life. We interviewed him for over 30 hours - just him and his wife and you hear Justice Thomas tell his life story, his way...as he experienced it."

"It's a story about his faith, having his faith, losing his faith...coming back to it," Pack added.

"Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words" is now playing in select theaters.
