Daily Migraines Gone Forever

“It was so sharp, it woke me up.  It made me lightheaded at the same time.  I had to try to stumble to my mom's room like, ‘Mom, something's wrong.’”  One morning in October 2018, 25-year-old Malaysia woke up with a severe headache.

She felt “A stabbing-like pain and pressure feeling on me.  And then all of a sudden like the right side, like from my arm all the way down to my legs went numb on me.”

Her mother, Eva, took her to the doctor right away.  Malaysia says, “My doctor did like the neurological tests.  It wasn't a stroke, thank God, but then that's when he said it was migraines.  And the type of migraines I have makes me feel like I’m having a stroke.  So me and my mom immediately started praying.”

Her doctor prescribed medication to prevent the migraines, but it didn’t help.  The attacks came daily and lasted for hours, sending pain and numbness along the right side of her body.

She explains, “They can come at any point in time and it's just like you-you have to stop ‘cause they were that bad.  I would have to go in a dark room and lie down immediately to try to get some relief.  It wasn't much.”

After a few days, the migraines became so painful, she couldn’t make it through her shifts at work.

She says, “I still tried to press my way forward, I tried to go to work, and I got sick at work.  Like my bosses, they were like, ‘No, you need to go home.  You're not well yet.’  You know, it’s like ‘Take care of yourself and come back when you’re able to.’”

After weeks of suffering through the migraines, Malaysia had an attack so severe, her mom had to take her to the E.R.  Doctors couldn’t find anything wrong and sent her home with meds for pain and blood pressure.  Malaysia and her mom could only pray for healing.

Malaysia says, “My mom was always praying for me.  She was like, ‘It's going to be okay.  It's in God's hands.  You know that by his stripes you are healed.  You claim that.’  And I was like, ‘Yes, ma'am, I know.  I'm just scared right now.’  So I’m just praying that everything is going to be okay, that this pain will ease off for me.”

The migraines had been coming daily for three weeks, when Malaysia and her mom sat down to watch The 700 Club, as they do most days.

Malaysia remembers, “We got to the part where Miss Wendy and Mr. Pat were about to pray.  And then all of a sudden Miss Wendy was like, ‘There's someone watching who's having migraines.’

Wendy went on to pray, “Someone, you have a terrible, crushing headache right now.  It’s mainly on the right side of your head, and just put your hand right there right now.  God is touching you, and that pain is lifting.  You are healed in the name of Jesus.”

Malaysia says, “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, Mom, that's for me!’  And so all of a sudden I just remember I shouted, just started praising God right then and there.  A cold chill came over me and I knew that healing was for me right in that moment.  Then the pain was gone!  And I woke up the next morning still pain free.”

The next day, Malaysia also went back to work, a week after being sent home.  She says her co-workers “were surprised to see me.  They were like, ‘You're better?’  I was like ‘Let me tell you.  Yes, I am!’  And I told them the story about what happened to me while-while I was watching The 700 Club.  So they are witnesses to my healing also.  And the pain has not come back, and it will not come back!

Malaysia is still pain-free, and she gives God praise for her healing.  She says, “I knew that God was a miracle worker.  I knew that.  But in that moment I became proof.  For anyone who had doubts, I became living proof of what God can do.  By His stripes you are healed, and He can do that.”
