Weighing the Cost of War

“There’s a resilience among Israeli’s to be able to withstand this physically, emotionally even spiritually for years. This is a periodic occurrence, especially with the people down south…They have been dealing with thousands, tens of thousands of rockets, over the years since maybe 2005,” said Mideast Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell.

The latest round of attacks from Gaze is in response to the recent Israeli assassination of one of the Islamic Jihad senior officials. They're calling it, “an act of war,” but as Mitchell and Mideast correspondent Julie Stahl point out on today's CBN News Daily Rundown—it will likely only turn into war if Hamas and ultimately Iran join the fight—or if Israeli lives are lost.
