The Civil Rights Leader MLK Admired

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is set aside for the country to consider and respect the impact of the famed Civil Rights leader. But one of the Civil Rights leaders that King respected was church founder Richard Allen, a former slave who fought for his people's freedom as the colonies were fighting to be free of Britain. CBN News senior Washington correspondent Paul Strand recently traveled to Philadelphia to learn more about the man some call America's Black Founding Father.
