There are still a lot of unknowns about the new Coronavirus, but CBN News health correspondent Lorie Johnson helps put in context some of what we do know:

“550 people have been infected so far and 17 have died…you think about people who have died from the flu this season alone, since October, 6,600, 39 of those were children,” Johnson said on today’s CBN News Daily Rundown.

CBN News senior international correspondent George Thomas points out that the way China is handling this outbreak is unprecedented.

“All across Wuhan the streets are deserted, trains are not operating, planes are not flying, it’s like a ghost town…it will be interesting to see how effective this lock-down is and whether China is able to stop the spread of this virus…my understanding is that this is the first time a country has imposed such a major ban on transportation links out of a capital city,” Thomas said.
