Single Mother's Prayer for Angels Answered During Pandemic

Maria began to cry as she told us about how desperate she had become since the COVID 19 pandemic hit her country.

“This past week, I said, ‘God, you are my Father.   I know that you have your angels.  And I believe you will send the angels as people to help us,’ she said, her body trembling and her eyes filled with tears.

Maria is a single mom living in Honduras.  She’s one of hundreds of workers who were furloughed from their jobs after the international airport in the capital city shut down.

“Recently we had no food. So I begged my neighbor for a little flour.  He said he didn’t have much but shared about a half pound with us.  So we had a little bread that day.”

Operation Blessing in Honduras has been preparing and distributing food packs with beans, groceries, soap and other staples to help people like Maria and her family.

“I have been praying to God.  “Will you please send help Lord?” she exclaimed. “That was three days ago and truly God is real!  Today God brought Operation Blessing Angels to us.

Today we gave Maria and nearly a hundred other families enough groceries to last a month! And as funds are available, we will continue to help vulnerable families until they can return to work.

“Yes, God sent us his Angels and it was these people from Operation Blessing who brought us bags of groceries!   We had not received any kind of help before this. I want to thank the people who give to Operation Blessing for the help you are giving us in this difficult time.  My God is going to bless you for what you have done, and so it will be in the name of Jesus!”
