Obama Administration Continues Drone Strikes in Pakistan

01-23-2008

No formal annoucement from the Obama team as of yet, but judging by the below report, U.S. Predator drone strikes against terrorists on Pakistani soil--which began under President Bush--will continue. From CBN News:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Intelligence officials are reporting a second suspected U.S. missile attack on the Pakistan side of the Afghan border. The officials say there were no immediate confirmation of any casualties in the second attack Friday in Gangi Khel in South Waziristan.

An attack earlier Friday killed at least 10 people in North Waziristan. They are the first reported U.S. missile strikes since President Barack Obama took office.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.

To see how the Obama administration will differ from the Bush administration on national security, watch my report from today's CBN Newswatch here.
