Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn: Abortion Providers And Fetal Body Part Organizations Running A "Profit Center"

06-10-2016

In an interview with The Brody File, Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn says that the evidence is becoming clear that abortions providers and procurement organizations are making the sale of fetal baby parts a, "profit center." Blackburn is chairman of the special House Select Investigative Panel set up to look into the controversial actions. "Looking at the medical practices of abortion providers and the business practices of the procurement organizations, what we have found is that the contract established between those two entities turns the view of the mother and the unborn baby into a profit center. We have had all of our witnesses, democrat  and republican, agree that the consent form is misleading."

The interview was done Friday morning at the Faith and Freedom Coalition's Road To Majority Conference in DC.

David Brody - "This select investigative panel, talk to me a little bit about what you are starting to uncover as it relates to really kind of following the money trail here."

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) "We were established in October by a resolution of the house, HR-461. People can go to the select investigative panel website and energy commerce committee and look at all of our documents. This is what we have found, in our work, looking at the medical practices of abortion providers and the business practices of the procurement organizations, what we have found is that the contract established between those two entities turns the view of the mother and the unborn baby into a profit center. We have had all of our witnesses, democrat  and republican, agree that the consent form is misleading."

"Also, it is illegal to sell human body parts in this country. It's illegal for there to be a profit on those. You can donate them and be within the law."
