You Gave Her a Sewing Machine and a New Hope!

Krishna lost her job due to Covid-19 lockdowns in India. As a single parent, it was hard for her to take care of her family, and she incurred a lot of debt.

As tears started to run down her face, Krishna explained, “I owed my landlord 4 months' rent and I had to take care of the electricity bill and food expenses. No one wanted to help us. I had lost all my hope to survive.”

Krishna found hope when she was offered a job in an Operation Blessing mask-making center. 

“I am very happy that I found some help to earn money,” said Krishna. “Now, I can take care of my children.”

We saw how hard Krishna worked to support her family, so Operation Blessing gave her her own sewing machine.

Krishna said with a big smile, “Now, I can work faster because this is a professional sewing machine with the latest technology. I am able to make better designs and save lots of time. It has helped me to increase my income. I have already paid back all the debts I had incurred due to the pandemic. Today, I am confident that I can face any kind of problem in my life.
