For King and Country's 'Priceless' Film a Call to Chivalry

Grammy-winning Christian band "For King & Country" has launched a new installment in their movement to champion the true, "Priceless," God-given worth of every woman.

The release of their new movie "Priceless" comes after the band's single by that name reached #1 on both Billboard and Christian charts.

Along with two more of their brothers, Joel and Luke Smallbone have produced and starred in this powerful new movie, hitting theaters Oct. 14.

Joel and Luke told CBN News the project was birthed during a season of marriages, when the Smallbone brothers were experiencing realizations about "love and commitment."

"One of the things we started sharing about was, simply said, charging us to be chivalrous as men in how we love, and celebrating a woman's worth," Joel said.

The movie "Priceless" is inspired by true events. Joel plays the part of a man named James who loses his wife to a tragic death, and his daughter to protective services.

At the darkest crossroad of his life, James is looking for anything to get his life back on track. That's when he picks up a job driving a truck on a long-distance run.

"Against James' better judgment he agrees to do it. Midnight through the trip, in the middle of the night he actually falls asleep at the wheel and runs off the road," Joel explained.

"As he's surveying the truck he hears crying in the back, knocks off the lock, opens it and realizes it's not what he's carrying, it's who. He's got two young ladies in the back," he said.

These two young women have been told they're en route to some good jobs. But James later discovers the horrible truth, that he helped to sell them into slavery.

As the movie unfolds, he sets out on a rescue mission that will change all of their lives forever.

With their new movie, the Smallbone brothers issue a call to action in more ways than one, highlighting the growing problem across the globe known as human trafficking.
