Some families might be looking to enjoy some time at the movie theater. There are a few options parents can safely choose, but one that families might want to stay away from.

The new drama, "If I Stay" is rated PG-13 and deals with the question of the validity and love of life when protagonist Mia has to make a tough decision.

"That's a pretty pertinent query for Hollywood to make in light of recent celebrity suicides, and I'm happy to say that 'If I Stay' leads teen viewers to some very positive choose-for-life conclusions," movie reviewer Bob Hoose wrote.

Still, the film has some drawbacks, as love is sometimes portrayed as going hand-in-hand with sex outside marriage. Hoose gave the movie a mere 2 out of 5 plugs.

A movie families can enjoy with next to no reservations is "When the Game Stands Tall," starring Jim Caviezel. It is rated 4.5 out of 5 for family friendliness.

The film follows De La Salle High School's football team during the year their 151-game winning streak ended.
