A Florida boy who was having trouble dealing with the Orlando shooting is facing his fears by praying for victims' families and law enforcement.

Six-year-old Joshua Garza stopped to pray for St. Petersburg police officers on his way out of a restaurant one morning after having breakfast with his mother.

"He knows what's going on in the world, and he doesn't like it," Kelly Garza, his mother, told Fox 13 News.

Garza said she and Joshua had just come from swim lessons and had breakfast at Joshua's favorite place, Bob Evans, when he saw the restaurant manager thank the officers for their service.

It was then that Joshua decided to thank the officers in his own way.

Joshua asked the officers if he could pray for their safety.

"He likes to pray at church, he's a big prayer warrior," said his mother.

She added that the officers had just finished saying grace over their meal and gladly obliged Joshua's request.

Garza took the photo of Joshua sitting down at the table with the officers, holding hands, and praying.

It was a moment that left many in the restaurant in tears as Joshua closed the prayer with, "And please help us all to live a good life. Amen."

The St. Petersburg Police department shared the photo on its Facebook page

"Officer Williams, Officer Blackshear and Officer Mitchell were honored to pray with this young man this morning," it read.

Garza shared the image on her own Facebook page and the online community applauded her son's bravery and sincerity.

"Joshua is being brought up in a very loving church, where he has learned that it's OK to share his faith and that it's an act of love to pray for others," Garza wrote in the post.
