Widely known and influential evangelical leaders around the US are about to fly to Washington DC to unite with a crowd up to one million Christians for worship and prayer for the country at the National Mall.

"Together 2016" is a "prayer and evangelism movement" that came from the popular Christian influencer, Nick Hall that shared his story behind the event with the Christian Post.

Hall, founder of PULSE, is known for his influence among the younger generation and being a voice for God on college campuses.

Hall's goal of the event is to bring the current culture to Jesus Christ with a focus on energizing the church.
"It's a gathering for all people to come together under the banner of Jesus. The only agenda is Jesus," Hall said.

"It's going to be worship, it's going to be prayer, and it's going to be lifting up Jesus and praying that He changes our hearts individually," he added. We're talking about a reset in our lives and ultimately a reset in this generation. We really believe that there's a heart issue and that God wants our heart."

Hall said he believes praying is what the country need and he wanted to spearhead a prayer movement for the younger generation.

Over 40 well-known speakers, recording artists, authors and leaders from different backgrounds will be in attendance at the event.

The list of speakers and performers include Hillsong, Kari Jobe, Francis Chan, Lecrae, Passion, Crowder, Kirk Franklin, and many others.

Over 1,000 churches have also made a pledge to attend the event.

To see this many ministries join together is a work that Hall says was 10  years in the making and he believes God is answering it now.

"In life I think a lot of people are longing for that, they're looking for a reset. If you think about New Year's Eve, there's such a longing for that second chance. We all gather waiting for the clock to tick, but it's a temporary fix and Jesus offers the eternal one — a supernatural reset that only comes from Him," Hall said.

In the last year, Hall and his team began going throughout the country to different cities for their Outcry Tour. The sole purpose was to bring the message of Christ and to reach millions for the event at the National Mall.

They campaigned and became involved in every major tour and conference in order to spread the message and the fruits of their labor is evident in the different denominations that will be present, including Southern Baptists, Hispanic organizations, African-American churches as well as Pope Francis.

Bringing so many denominations together for this event is not the only miracle Hall has seen.
God's blessings has been on this project throughout Hall's entire journey. He even received clearance from Homeland security for the event and the permit for hosting it at the National Mall.

Hall said that doors started opening one after the other.

The day's events will include a full day of ministry through music and concerts, as well as messages that will challenge listeners with testimonies of encouragement.

Together 2016 will begin on July 16 and start at 9 am and go through 9 pm on Saturday at the National Mall in Washington D.C.
