CBN News spoke with family therapist and author Dr. Linda Mintle about how Christians can help people who are experiencing pain and anger the election's results.

"We just need to be aware that that's the reaction of so many people," said Mintle.

She shared how she was able to comfort a student who voted for Clinton.

"The thing I said to him, I said I know that you're grieving the loss of what you thought was going to be the direction the country was going to be going, but again I just want to remind you that our hope is not in government. That our hope is in the Lord," she explained.

"And so when things look bad, things are despairing, if that's how you're feeling at this point, we need to point people to where the true hope of how we're going to be ok, where we're going to find that."
