The catalyst of “Preparing for the Glory” is from a dream that Carol had in May of 2014. In the dream, she was standing in front of the church when she was caught up in a whirlwind that took her up to the ceiling. Then, God brought her back down to the floor and it was like a heavy cloak was placed upon her. God gave her a word for the people saying, “There’s another cloud—a cloud of holiness. It will not be a cloud of outward, good behavior holiness, but it will be a cloud of My holiness—the reverent fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom.” Carol believes that the outpouring of grace over the last 20 years has been remarkable. However, some have taken that grace for granted. “And the Lord said, “When the glory cloud comes down, when the next wave hits, you better have your heart right. Get right with me. Stop playing with sin and excusing it!” As the cloud began to come down on the church, Carol exclaimed, “The altar of mercy is open. Those who want to get your hearts right… There is repentance at the altar… But for those of you who still want to play the game of, ‘God won’t mind if I sin!’ I say run. Get out of here. I fear for your very life.” The Arnott’s believe that this revival will focus on the Bridegroom and His Bride, ushering in the Lord’s return. The Arnott’s believe the most important things we can do to help usher in revival are:

  • Getting our hearts right before God—asking for forgiveness and repenting.
  • Staying hungry for God by pressing into Him like never before—soaking, interceding, etc.
  • Stewardship
    • Personal-spending time soaking in God’s presence and worshiping Him, using the gifts that God has given us and multiplying them.
    • Corporate-Gathering as a Church body and worshiping God in one accord and being intentional about prioritizing Him together.
  • Expecting and Waiting on Him—This means believing and having faith in God’s promise that Jesus will return for us, His bride.

While the purpose of revival is to glorify Jesus on earth, each revival throughout history has had a special focus. “In the Reformation, we saw the restoration of the truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation. During the First Great Awakening, we saw the restoration of the importance of the Great Commission. In the Pentecostal Revival, we saw the restoration of the emphasis of the Holy Spirit. And during the Father Heart Revival (Toronto), we saw the restoration of the absolute truth of God’s Father heart and desire for intimacy with us, His children.” They believe the next one is preparing the church for the return of the Lord.

John and Carol are the founding pastors and presidents of Catch the Fire (formerly Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship) and oversee the Partners in Harvest network of churches.   Their home church came to the world's attention as the site of a revival, often referred to as the “Toronto Blessing,” in 1994.  From the beginning, John and Carol never felt qualified to lead such an explosive move of God, but despite their reservations, God used them to usher in a new revival. “Carol and I felt that we were the least qualified to lead a revival that would eventually have worldwide impact,” John says.  Today, Catch the Fire has a growing family of churches spread across the globe, a training college with international campuses, mission’s programs and partnerships and special events. “Our desire is to reach the world with Jesus through the sharing of our values, equipping people and releasing them to bring revival to their nations,” the Arnott’s say.  “We are passionately committed to walking in

God's love and giving it away until the whole earth is filled with knowledge of the Glory of the Lord.”
As international speakers, John and Carol have become known for their ministry of revival in the context of the Father’s saving and restoring love.  As the Holy Spirit moves with signs and wonders, they have seen millions of lives touched and changed through God’s power and Christ’s love.  John is known for his teachings on the Father’s love, grace and forgiveness and the power of God that manifests in their church.  Carol has embraced the message of intimacy, soaking, and healing and freedom of hearts.  Her desire is to see those in the Kingdom become lovers of Jesus Christ, and come into that place of intimacy, health and dependence on Him.  John and Carol travel extensively while continuing to oversee Catch the Fire and Partner in Harvest networks of churches.  The Arnott’s constantly redirect the attention of people away from looking at the manifestations and onto the fruit in the person’s life. “We are talking about a relationship with the King,” John says.
