'God Has Done Some Restorative Work in My Life': The Truth About Lecrae's 'Restoration' Album

Hip hop artist Lecrae says his new album called "Restoration" reflects on recent life changes and how his perspective has been restored.

He broke the news on our Studio 5 program on the CBN News Channel in an exclusive interview.

"The story around 'Restoration' is that I've really truly been restored," he explained.

"God has done some restorative work in my life over the last few years and I've gone through a lot of turmoil and pain. A lot of that will be shown and people will see that some relationships have been restored, some perspective has been restored and my faith has been restored."

Also his recent trip to Israel and baptism in the Jordan River served as a renewal of faith.

"It was like the cap off of the restoration process. Just to be able to walk in the places where these biblical characters walked," Lecrae said.

"To see David's temple and his dwelling place and the guarded tomb where it's believed that Jesus was resurrected, that kind of stuff invigorates and re-energized your faith in a way that I can't explain. The Bible will never be same for me and it was a beautiful experience. I have no words."
