JERUSALEM, Israel – It was a busy week for the Friends of Zion Museum in the heart of Jerusalem, which welcomed visitors from two major international delegations.

More than 100 Jewish leaders attending the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations in Jerusalem toured the museum, along with a group of international diplomats from 26 nations, including numbers of ambassadors serving in Israel.

The museum presented the John Patterson Leadership Award to Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations.

The unique museum in the heart of Jerusalem tells the stories of Christians who helped the Jewish people during the British Mandate, the Holocaust and the establishment of the State of Israel.

Using three-dimensional, state-of-the-art technology, visitors to the museum enjoy an experiential walk through the lives of people who helped bring about the re-birth of the modern Jewish state.

Among those honored in the museum are U.S. President Harry Truman, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Orde Wingate, Oskar Schindler, Raoul Wallenberg and the Ten Boom family.

Since its opening last year, thousands of tourists and many Israelis have visited the museum. To learn more about the Friends of Zion museum, visit their website
