It's the film kids have been waiting for, "The Spongebob Movie," and according to PluggedIn Online, it's a better option for families with young children than "Jupiter Ascending."

After 15 years and around 200 episodes on Nickelodeon, Spongebob has made his way to the big screen in a cinematic adventure to save the sea as we know it.

"I'm glad that by the time the eventual closing chantey of 'Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?' is bellowed, there have also been some pretty solid songs and lessons shared about teamwork, friendship, loyalty, and even self-sacrifice," movie reviewer Bob Hoose wrote.

Conversely, the new sci-fi fantasy film "Jupiter Ascending" starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, is not a film for children. According to Plugged In, teens and adults should take caution as well.

"In addition to its nonstop violence and sexual asides, this movie is just flat-out weird, and not in a good way," movie reviewer Paul Asay said.

Bob Waliszewski, director of Focus on the Family's entertainment review department Plugged In Online, talked more about this weekend's box office options on CBN News. Click play to watch.
