A school in Utah is apologizing for a classroom assignment where students were asked to create a poster for ISIS.
A first-year teacher at Salem Junior High School gave the assignment to a class of 60 ninth graders to help them understand how propaganda can mislead people.
The assignment said the poster was to help students understand the goals of terrorist groups and the methods they use to gain support.
The task was canceled after several parents complained.
