Carson, Trump Currently Tied in Iowa ahead of Caucuses
A CBS poll shows Republican presidential candidates Ben Carson and Donald Trump are tied in Iowa with 27 percent voter support, with less than 100 days from the Iowa caucuses.
In a new Associated Press-GfK poll, Carson has the highest positive and lowest negative rating of any Republican sized up by registered GOP voters. Sixty-five percent give Carson a favorable rating and just 13 percent rating him unfavorably.
But Trump still has a whopping lead in New Hampshire with 38 percent support to Carson's 12 percent. In South Carolina Trump has 40 percent while Carson has 23 percent support.
Despite his leads, Trump is still hurling insults at his opponents. He has called Carson "sleepy," Marco Rubio "sweaty," and Jeb Bush an embarrassment to his family.
The CBS poll found the majority of voters would not be satisfied with Trump as the GOP nominee.
