The Michigan community of Kalamazoo held a vigil Sunday for the six victims of a weekend shooting rampage.

Centerpoint Church hosted an evening service to honor the victims and their families.

Local pastors, the lieutenant governor and others spoke at the memorial to help the tight-knit community cope with a tragedy that left more questions than answers.

The night before the service, a gunman fatally shot six people and wounded two others in the attack.

Police have a suspect in custody, Jason Dalton, 45, a former insurance adjuster who had been working as a driver for Uber.

Authorities are searching for a motive for the rampage. Police said Dalton had no criminal record and that the victims of the shootings had no apparent connection to him or to each other.

They are investigating a Facebook post that indicated the suspect was driving erratically around the time of the shootings.
