
Toby Mac, Other Christian Artists Win Big at the Grammys
Toby Mac took home the award for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for "This is Not a Test.
He told CBN in a recent interview he believes music is important for bringing about a revival in the music industry and the Nation.
"In any sort of revival I think music plays a role in revivng people's hearts," he said.

Toby Mac said his Grammy award-winning album talks about living a life that counts.
"One of the main lines of the song is 'There ain't no practice runs in life.' This is it...today. Don't just intend, get on it," he said.

He is one of the most popular Christian artists because people relate to the life experiences he talks about in his songs.
"I try to write from real life experiences. It might be about things God's Word is teaching me," he told CBN News. "I always say I write about trying to stay in hot pursuit of holiness in this crazy world."

On Monday night, he posted on Instagram crediting God for the Grammy win and recognizing everyone who helped him create the winning album.
"So honored, so grateful, so humbled and soooo thankful for all who labored with me on this project. To God b the glory," he wrote.
Other nominees included Lauren Daigle for "How can it be," Chris Tomlin for "Love Ran Red," Matt Maher for "Saints and Sinners," and Jason Crabb for "Whatever the Road."
Singer and songwriter Kirk Franklin won the award in the Best Gospel Performance/Song category for his single "Wanna Be Happy?" The win marks his eighth Grammy award as a leading gospel artist.
Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, Travis Greene, Israel & NewBreed, and Brian Courtney Wilson were also nominated in the same category as Franklin.
After receiving the award, Frankin took to Twitter to recognize his fellow artists who were celebrated by the secular music industry.
"I'm so proud of all my gospel music family today at the Grammys! It celebrates what we do, but never defies who we are," Franklin said.
Renowned worship leader and music artsist Israel & NewBreed won the award in the Best Gospel Album category for his album "Covered: Alive in Asia."
Other nominees included gospel artist Tasha Cobbs, Jonathan McReynolds, and Karen Clark Sheard.
Francesca Battistelli took home the award for the Best Contemporary Christian Muslic Performance/ Song category for her single "Holy Spirit."
Battistelli expressed gratitude for her winning song's writers Bryan and Katie Torwalt.
"They wrote an incredible song, & the Lord is honoring it," wrote Batttistelli on her Twitter page.
The Fairfield Four won the award for the Best Roots Gospel Album category for their album "Still Rockin' My Soul."
The group recieved their second Grammy award after winning in 1997 for their song "I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray."
