How You Can Help:
Give to Operation Blessing

Operation Blessing is still asking for volunteers to help (Monday – Saturday) at Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and they will be providing free volunteer housing in North Carolina starting Friday, October 14.  For more information you can email volunteer@OB.org and visit the website at ob.org.

"We've stressed again to please be safe," Gov. Pat McCrory said. "Stay off the roads; stay out of water... Our prayers are with the families being impacted by these tragedies."

More than 43,700 customers remained without power Thursday, five days after the hurricane hit the state with heavy rain after lashing South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

CBN's Operation Blessing has been busy helping those in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after Hurricane Matthew ripped through several neighborhoods.

In addition to serving food, distributing water, and cleaning out homes, the team has been helping residents salvage their belongings.

Resident Tyrannus George's house flooded, destroying everything he owned, but with the help of Operation Blessing his family now has some comfort.

"My main concern was that my family was safe. You can get another house, but you can't get another life," George said.

"I thank God for Operation Blessing because, you know, it shows us that you guys are concerned about us and at the same time it is an example of us helping one another. Me personally, I thank God for you guys," he added.
