How These Pro-Lifers Are Marking Planned Parenthood's Gruesome Anniversary

October marks Planned Parenthood's diamond anniversary. According to its website, the nation's largest abortion provider plans to celebrate the milestone with private fundraising events and public cries for support.

But pro-life advocates such as Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, don't think it's a time for celebrations.

Eric Scheidler spoke with CBN News about how pro-life groups will be marking this anniversary.

Instead, he will mark the infamous anniversary with solemn prayer. As the son of Joe Scheidler, the man once known as the "Green Beret" for the pro-life movement, Eric has advocacy in his bones.

In an article posted on the group's website, the League notes that for more than 100 years Planned Parenthood has been "preying on our families and polluting our culture."

Recent statistics show the abortion provider has provided roughly 7.3 million abortions.

While Planned Parenthood is galvanizing their troops with their "Pledge a Protester" campaign, designed to encourage donations and dissuade pro-life advocates, the Pro-Life Action League is fighting on their knees.

After more than four decades in the fight for life, the group has learned to seek God for answers.

"We don't have the mainstream media or Hollywood in our pockets. But we have God, and we have the power of prayer," Pro-Life Action League officials said.

Pointing to the closures of dozens of abortion clinics – including recently the Planned Parenthood offices in Augusta, Georgia, and Pueblo, Colorado – pro-life warriors say prayer works.

On Oct. 15, the Pro-Life Action League, along with Created Equal and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, are coordinating #ProtestPP prayer events across the nation.

These events will take place at nearly 120 Planned Parenthood locations across the country.
