A Robber Was No Match for This Pastor's Wife

When a robber tried to attack a Philadelphia pastor in the middle of the night, his wife took the situation into her own hands.

According to ABC 6, Pastor Robert Cook, his wife and son were just returning home from a concert when they were met by a middle-aged, rifle-wielding, would-be thief.

The 66-year-old suspect struck the pastor in the head with the rifle and demanded his wallet.

"And I turned like I was going to get my wallet, but I was stalling. And he hit me in the head with the gun. He swung it like a baseball bat," Cook said in a statement.

That is when Cook's wife sprung into action. When the robber looked up, he saw Cook's wife pointing her gun straight at him.

"And then I heard my wife saying, drop the gun, drop the gun," Cook recalls. "I'm like she's got her gun. He turns towards her, and I said, shoot him, shoot him. And she shot him."

The suspect ran away bleeding. Police found and arrested him minutes later near a hospital.

The Cook family walked away startled and bruised, but alive.
