Eygpt's Interim Cabinet Resigns

The entire cabinet of Egypt's interim prime minister resigned Monday.

The military-backed government group has been in power since last July, but today Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi said they will step aside.

The move opens the door for the nation's military chief to leave his defense minister's post and run for president. Many say that's what was behind the decision.

It's not yet clear if El-Beblawi will continue his role as interim prime minister.
