Mom on the Move

Mrs. Zhang of China is a “Mom on the move” who would do just about anything for her family.

Her daughter Hep Ping says, "Last time I came to see my mom, I found out she had burned herself really badly on the stove. She never told me."

Mrs. Zhang has severe cataracts and is nearly blind. So, she can't see to cook, and she stumbles from room to room. But that doesn’t stop her from putting others before herself.

Mrs. Zhang says, "As long as I have life and breath, I don't want to bother anyone. I can take care of myself."

Mrs. Zhang developed cataracts as a child. Her family is very poor, so she hasn’t been able to even afford eye-drops. Surgery was out of the question until CBN came along.

When CBN found out about Mrs. Zhang and her determination, they quickly arranged for free cataract surgery.

"I put a lot of my hope in CBN," she says.

The surgery took less than 10 minutes but changed Mrs. Zhang's perspective on life and brought everything into focus.

"I can see," she exclaims.

Mr. Zhang says, "This never could have happened without CBN's help. We just didn't have the money."

Mrs. Zhang has always been committed to taking care of her family. But now that she can see, she says she loves being a wife and mother more than ever!

She says, "CBN has helped my family so much. Now I can literally look after my husband and my son, and that makes me happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
