CBN.com Platinum-selling, Grammy and Dove Award winning rock band Third Day will release its eighth studio project Wherever You Are on Nov. 1. The 12 song CD will offer fans three differently themed album covers (two as limited editions) plus a free-with-purchase bonus CD. The first single, "Cry Out To Jesus" was added to most major radio station play lists in heavy rotation on 8/31, after radio promoters heard early clips, and is now being used as the anchor to many Katrina relief effort campaigns due to its very fitting message of hope. Third Day has offered “Cry Out To Jesus” as a free download on its website, www.thirdday.com.

The band has taken time over the last six months to record this album in Atlanta’s Southern Tracks Studio, emerging for spot dates and to accept its second Grammy Award for its Gold certified Wire in Los Angeles in February. Band members wrote all of the songs and produced half of the album; the other half was produced by respected innovator and industry veteran, Brown Bannister.

Third Day frontman, Mac Powell, recalls the writing and recording process, “It was an incredible experience in the studio this time around. The end result is a collection of songs that reflects what we want to communicate to anyone who listens to this record. We want to convey, as the title track states, that wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you are going through, God is ready to meet you right there. No matter where, no matter why, no matter when, there is hope.’”

Wherever You Are accomplishes that mission through songs delivered in the band’s trademark Southern-influenced, American rock style. "Tunnel," "Eagles," "Cry Out To Jesus," "I Can Feel It," "Keep On Shinin'," "Communion," "Carry My Cross," "How Do You Know," "Mountain of God," (with special guest Ashley Cleveland), "Love Heals Your Heart," "The Sun Is Shining" and "Rise Up" all carry this central theme. Bass player Tai Anderson adds, “These songs speak of God meeting you in times of struggle, of overcoming pain, guilt, challenging circumstances, and being set free. They offer hope.”

“Throughout our career, we’ve tried to give people songs of encouragement and hope,” Powell continues. “These songs are songs of encouragement, hope and empathy. They do not represent ‘Give your life to Jesus and everything will work out great’ songs. They represent the reality that life is hard. You will have pain. But, Christ is there! So, these songs are for everyone and anyone who has struggled in life, or knows someone who has.”

Promotional efforts for Wherever You Are will begin on Sept. 6, with the band kicking off a multi-city promotional tour in major markets throughout the U.S. Upon the album’s release in November, band members will visit 6-8 key markets around the country, unveiling the new project at exclusive album release concerts, developed in partnership with Chevrolet. Look for an upcoming announcement about a prime headlining tour in support of the new CD to begin in Spring 2006.

Third Day has amassed 21 No. 1 radio singles, sales of more than five million albums, 23 Dove Awards, two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award nod, and a performance at the 2004 Republican National Convention. They have developed a ground breaking partnership with Chevrolet, and are known world wide for a riveting live show and sold-out tours.

Maintaining a passion for helping those in need, the band supports Habitat for Humanity, DATA and World Vision’s Hope Child initiative and have been covered by media outlets including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC Nightly News, ABC News Nightline, 60 Minutes, CNN (Anderson Cooper & Headline News), Hannity & Colmes, Weekend Live with Tony Snow, Your World with Neal Cavuto, The Boston Globe, USA Today, the LA Times and Newsweek.
