Pray for America - Day 22

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  –

DAY 22: "Living Testimonies"

How others see us and how we see ourselves might be completely different. In Romans 12, we are cautioned not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think. In today’s world of “I, me and my,” it is very easy to become centered on self. If we boast about our personal achievements, wealth or possessions, pride will be what others see. If we indulge in worldly pleasures at the expense of disregarding the needs of those around us, selfishness will be in full view. As God’s people, if we purpose in our hearts to have our outward actions reflect the Christ in us, the world will take notice. When we choose to demonstrate value to others by putting their needs before our own, godliness is what people will see.

Pray that all across America, God’s people will demonstrate godly actions to others. Whether in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, churches, or even amidst strangers, pray that God’s love will flow through our actions as we become living testimonies of Christlikeness to the world.
