Pray for America - Day 37

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

DAY 37: "Be Reconciled"

Parents will often settle sibling squabbles by saying to the offender, “Tell your brother (or sister) you’re sorry.” And to the offended, they will say, “Now, tell your brother you forgive him.”

In , Jesus illustrates that when we come before God with our offering and we remember that a brother has something against us, we need to leave our gift at the altar and first go find our brother to reconcile with him. Reconciliation means to restore relations by settling one’s differences, and it must come before we bring our offering to God. Our heart needs to be pure and our conscience free from any offense when we approach God. In , Paul identifies believers as ambassadors for Christ, because we have been reconciled to God through Him. All across America, as agents of that reconciliation, we can sow seeds of humility, love, forgiveness and restoration into others’ broken relationships to help facilitate harmony. Most importantly, each of us can lead others to be in communion with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray for revival in America as we bring the ministry of reconciliation to our churches, our families, our work, our neighborhoods, and to individuals wanting to trust in God through confessing their faith in Christ.
