- [Announcer] Alma is a street vendor.

As COVID-19 hit hercity in the Philippines,

she worried where the family'snext meal would come from.

Alma and her husband work as day laborers.

If they don't work, there'sno money to buy food

that evening or the next day.

And they haven't been able to work

since the nationwide lockdown began.

- [Interpreter] We lost our livelihood.

I have six kids, and I didn't know how

long we'd be able to last.

- [Announcer] Just next dooris Alma's neighbor, Arlie.

She's also a day laborer.

The quarantine meantshe was out of work too.

- [Interpreter] We hadno other source of income

to buy food.

My relatives are in thesame situation as we are.

So I just hold on to God.

It's really tough, but I'mchoosing to trust in him.

- [Announcer] WhenOperation Blessing learned

about Alma and Arlie, we provided

them with food packs, including rice, milk,

canned goods, and clean drinking water.

We also gave them cleaningsupplies to help prevent

the spread of the virus.

- [Interpreter] We're so happy,

because we didn't expectto get help from people

who don't even know us.

God really answers prayers.

- [Interpreter] My kids are so excited,

'cause they have so much food to eat.

Thank you so much!
