Come visit this ancient fishing village that is cited in all four Gospels. The town is pleasantly positioned on the coast of the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum is known as Jesus’s "own town." Upon visiting, "walking where Jesus walked,” takes on a whole new meaning.

Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town.  - Matthew 9:1 (NLT)

As you sit on the stone bench of Capernaum’s ancient synagogue, you can¹t help but appreciate that this is where Jesus taught and healed a man possessed by an evil spirit.

The whole Bible unfolds as you enter Capernaum. Walk through and see the ruins where the disciples lived or sit still, in peace and meditate on the teachings of Jesus and miracles performed in the synagogue. To this day, the synagogue where Jesus taught is still well-preserved.

Capernaum was the hometown of the apostles Simon Peter, Andrew, James and John, as well as the tax collector Matthew.

From the breathtaking views of the sea and village, the rich history of Jesus’s teachings, to the overwhelming presence of God felt as you set foot here, Capernaum is a town not to be missed.

Experience history beyond its words.  Your journey begins here ... in Israel.
