Just In: Brody File Exclusive: Donald Trump Comes Out In Support Of 20 Week Abortion Ban

07-22-2015

In an exclusive to The Brody File, Donald Trump has come out in support of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. The bill, which will be taken up by congress, prohibits abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Donald Trump released his exclusive statement to The Brody File below:

“I support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and urge Congress to pass this bill. A ban on elective abortions after 20 weeks will protect unborn children. We should not be one of seven countries that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks. It goes against our core values.” –Donald Trump

Trump has also come out in support of defunding Planned Parenthood after newly released videotapes have come out showing Planned Parenthood doctors arranging the sale of body parts from aborted babies.

Donald Trump used to be pro-choice but changed his view to pro-life years ago. Why you ask? Well, guess what? The Brody File has the answer. Watch Trump discuss the reason for his change of heart on the life issue below. This was the first interview he did we me back in the spring of 2011. Watch the video below along with the transcription.

By the way, for all the media wondering why evangelicals are attracted to Trump's message, here's why: most evangelical christians see the world and issues as black and white. They operate in biblical absolutes. They are also ripped by people for speaking out about their conservative biblical views. In much the same way, Donald Trump speaks out on his views and is ripped. He also sees the world as pretty much black and white and absolutely operates in non-negotiable absolutes. See the kinship?

David Brody: “Evangelicals do want to feel secure that they’re going to have a nominee that’s going to at least be solid on those issues, those social issues. Someone that’s not just going to cut and move on.”

Donald Trump: One thing about me, I'm a very honorable guy. I'm pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the reasons I changed -- one of the primary reasons -- a friend of mine's wife was pregnant, in this case married.

She was pregnant and he didn't really want the baby. And he was telling me the story. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to him.

And you know here's a baby that wasn't going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.

David Brody: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?

Donald Trump: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.
