(Click for English) En estos días la prensa norteamericana está llena de detalles nauseabundos de la revelación pública de un sórdido secreto de una familia de “estrellas” de Rock. Una hija confiesa en una biografía sin barreras, y sin rubor ni arrepentimiento, su relación incestuosa de muchos años, “entre adultos en edad de consentir”, con su padre, en una atmósfera de fama, dinero, drogas y degradación moral.

I grew up in the height of the Charismatic Movement where the "End Times" were always "at hand". That was nearly 40 years ago, and while these Christians were no doubt sincere, they were all wrong -- Jesus did not come back in the 1970s or '80s. Now we are hearing a growing chorus of voices saying that the world is going to end in 2012. We'll see.

The Senate Finance Committee voted down the main "Public Option" amendment Tuesday. 15 Senators voted "NO". 8 voted "Yes".

As you might imagine, all the Republicans voted no on the amendment but would you like to know the Democrats on the committee thate voted no?

181 Pro-Life members (including 25 Democrats) of the House have sent a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter requesting that the House be given an opportunity to vote on an abortion funding amendment to the current House Bill (H.R. 3200)

By the way, the Democrat who is really pushing this is Rep. Bart Stupak. He meets with Speaker Pelosi about this late on Tuesday afternoon. Check back here for an update.
