My Bible Cards: Biblical Edu-Tainment

Combining the latest in 3D digital computer graphic art along with short snippets of easy-to-understand Biblical narratives, Creation By Design has released a series of Bible trading cards that will change the Biblical “edu-tertainment” world. “My Bible Cards” is designed to help parents and educators teach children the Bible without compromising on the Word of God and the latest art trends in the trading card industry.

Listening to a pastor’s message that our children, ages 6-13, are heavily influenced by mindless violence and secular values of game cards like Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and Chaotic with no alternative to inspire children about the Bible, Steven Kaye, CEO of Creation By Design, felt a change had to be made. “It is my vision that one child will ask another, I will trade my Abraham for your Moses,” Kaye said.

Creation By Design’s “My Bible Cards” currently completed the first series of 100 cards covering most of the Biblical episodes within the Five Books of Moses. Their next series of 100 (Series B) is due on the market by the summer, and will include the stories of Gideon and Samson.

The Old Testament series will eventually encompass 818 separate cards and images, and plans are on the way to create a series for the New Testament, which will have approximately 800 cards as well.” All information on our trading cards have been written and edited by several biblical scholars and educators,” Kaye emphasized. He added “it is important to ensure the integrity of words of the Bible are never watered down.”

“The artwork is so captivating that my 5th grade Sunday school classes were eager to listen to how the Jacob’s Ladder card meshed with my Bible lesson,” expressed teacher Amanda Smith. She added that “this is a great aid in teaching especially with the narrative, fun trivia facts and a time-line on the back of the card.”

Kaye considers himself as an artist first with a calling to enthuse others about the Bible. “No other work has affected my life more than the Bible and it is my hope that the younger generation can appreciate the story, its values and ethics through art portrayed on these cards."

Creation By Design is planning to branch out with their artwork in the form of children’s books, posters, games and apparel industry. “All is in the hand of the Creator, but our mission will always continue to be creating products connecting children to their Biblical roots” Kaye concluded.
