New Press Secretary's First Day

Welcome to the White House Briefing Room, Jay Carney... come on down!!

Today is new White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's first day on the job. But, we won't be seeing him behind the podium in the briefing room today. We'll hear from Budget Director Jack Lew and White House economist Austan Goolsbee instead.

Which is fitting, since it's Budget Monday and all.

Lots of numbers... wow... Happy Valentine's Day, huh?

I bet Robert Gibbs is enjoying his first full business day of just being a regular person.

As for Twitter - Gibbs' former handle, @PressSec, still has his picture on it, but I understand the handle should officially belong to Carney as of today. No new posts there, though.
