Retro Hong Kong

Hong Kong might be one of the world's greatest business centers today, and in 1951, when Howard Sochurek took these photographs, thousands of workers were busy producing various goods.  Of course, today, the bulk of Hong Kong's economy doesn't come from manufacturing; about 92% of it is service-based.

Despite these dramatic changes, the entrepreneurial spirit is just as alive in Hong Kong today as it was decades ago, when these photographs were taken for Life Magazine.
