Cranberry Salad - Verna from Oklahoma

Total Time: 180 minutes

Ingredients:

16 oz fresh cranberries
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 large can of crushed pineapple, drained well
1 cup small marshmallows
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar

Cooking Instructions:

Grind the cranberries. Add 1 and 1/2 cup sugar, pineapple, marshmallows and chopped nuts.  It is best to let this refrigerate overnight. 

Whip the cream and add 1/2 cup sugar. (Real whipped cream is better in this recipe than using pre-made whipped topping, but whipped topping can be substituted). 

Mix whipped cream with the cranberry mixture.  If possible, refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
