Mike Huckabee in Israel

08-20-2008

Fresh from an appearance on FOX News after this weekend's Saddleback Forum and his participation in "The Call" in Washington D.C., former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee landed in Israel Monday for a whirlwind two-day tour.

Huckabee came as a guest of an Israeli group promoting construction of Jewish neighborhoods throughout Jerusalem.

Huckabee caused a huge stir in this year's Republican campaign for President. He posed a far more serious challenge than many expected and lasted far longer than most anticipated. While it could be a long shot, Huckabee's now a potential candidate for vice president.

CBN News sat down with the former Arkansas governor and talked about a number of issues.

Here's the first part of that interview for your viewing.

In this section we discuss how McCain and Obama would differ in their Mideast policies: the possible division of Jerusalem; moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, U.S. taxpayer support for the Palestinian Authority and the threat of a nuclear Iran to Israel.

Huckabee is engaging, personable and articulate. I think you'll see why more than four million Americans thought this man should be the next U.S. President.
