My first book, The Terrorist Next Door: How the Government is Deceiving You About the Islamist Threat, will be released May 2 by Regnery Publishing, which is the nation's top conservative publisher, featuring authors like Newt Gingrich and Michael Steele.

My friend Michelle Malkin - best-selling author, Fox News analyst, and all-around conservative rock star - wrote the book's hard-hitting foreword. And we will have some big-name endorsements on the back cover (including from two legendary American heroes).

The Terrorist Next Door is based largely on my on-the-ground experiences as a correspondent for CBN News covering the global jihad: interviewing Al Qaeda-linked terrorists and radical imams and frequenting mosques and Islamic enclaves in the U.S. and Europe.

There's no political correctness, just the cold, hard facts about the enemy we face, the ideology they follow, and why it threatens our very existence as a nation.

One theme of the book is that Islamists have now infiltrated the very heartland of America and are setting up shop im some of the most unlikely places, including the Bible Belt.

While some analysts prefer to conduct their research from the comfort of air-conditioned Washington think tanks, I've learned about our enemies by going straight to the source: the terrorists themselves.

Much more to come on the book, but I just wanted to give everyone the early head's up on the May 2 release date.

I can promise it won't be dull!
