The scriptures teach us that everyone has something to offer. When we worship in the fullness of our lives, God then fills us to be able to affect our world. We then exit to serve God through proclaiming His Word, serving those around us and exalting His name in all the earth. Everything we do in church is to help us fulfill God’s calling on our lives in the world.

I think it feels oddly like the day after election day here in D.C.  Last night, the big health care vote was held on Capitol Hill. The President made remarks late, at 11:47 p.m.  The White House put out a photo of the President and staffers cheering and clapping when the vote got to where they wanted it, past 216. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs tweeted that they were at the White House until 1:05 a.m.

They're all high-fiving and super cheerful this morning.

The name calling has officially begun. Bart Stupak has been called a "Baby Killer" on the House floor by a Republican member of Congress. There are many pro-lifers across the country who would agree with that statement.

Watch the video below.

The background here is that before the final vote on healthcare Sunday night, Republicans tried to get the bill back into committee where Stupak's pro-life language would be re-inserted. That led to Stupak going down to the microphone on the House floor and arguing AGAINST his own pro-life amendment.

Let me get this straight. Bart Stupak is going to trust that a pro-choice President has his back on abortion? The National Right to Life organization isn't buying this whole Presidential Executive Order business. Read their take below:

Pro Golfer Tiger Woods recently announced that he’ll play in the Masters Tournament this April. To some, it’s a bit surprising, because his personal life is somewhat in disarray after he was caught in a sex scandal with several women last year. This scenario leaves me with a few questions.

1) Is it too soon for Tiger to come back after less than three months of therapy?

2) Should he spend a little more time at home getting his personal life in order?

I just learned that President Obama will be meeting with the Democratic lawmakers tomorrow at the White House.  It will be pep-rally style.  The meeting is at 4pm.  House Democratic leaders say they now have the votes they need to pass the the health care bill.  Obama wants to make one last push before the vote on Sunday.
