Ukraine winter wheat field

The war in Ukraine means much of Ukraine's winter wheat crop will never be harvested, and wheat stored in silos near Odesa can't make it to market becasue of Russia's blockade of ports on the Black Sea. That means countries that rely on Ukrainian wheat are already experiencing shortages.

Russia plans to annex much of eastern Ukraine later this month, a senior U.S. official warned, and the Mariupol steel mill that is the city’s last stronghold of resistance came under renewed assault a day after the first evacuation of civilians from the plant.


Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began on Feb. 24, refugees have been pouring into European countries like Poland. CBN's Operation Blessing (OB) has been there providing them with food, water, and other essentials.
