The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cologne, Rainer Woelki, posted this video doing a sales pitch for Islam's place in Germany. It was translated and reposted with commentary by Vlad Tepesblog. Woelki says "Whoever says 'yes' to church (steeples) must also say 'yes' to minarets." He warns against treating Muslims as Jews were treated in the 30's. The archbishop also attacked the anti-Islamist, right wing party AfD (Alternative for Germany) as, seemingly, a bigger threat than Islam. My interview with AfD leader Björn Höcke is here. Meanwhile, what was long suspected was announced publicly Monday; that Germany is being targeted by Islamic terrorists. So, it's doubtful the Christian-Islamic future of Germany will be quite so wonderful, what with bombs going off and blood in the streets.
