Bob Dylan, 75, is poised to share his Gospel roots in the 13th chapter of his "Bootleg Series." The singer and songwriter is leaning toward a box set devoted to his gospel period, which ran from 1979 to 1981.

The word of what's next comes weeks before the release of Dylan's new box set, "The 1966 Live Recordings." It will hit store shelves Nov. 11 just months after the May release of his 37th LP.

Dylan's 1974 "Blood on the Tracks" sessions are also a consideration for release. A documentary about his1975/76 Rolling Thunder Revue tour is also in the works.

The Gospel chapter of Dylan's career began in August of 1979 with the release of "Slow Train Coming." It was a collection of eight songs about his reawakening as a Christian.

The spiritual album hit No. 3 on the Billboard Album Chart and was met with favorable reviews.

He followed up on that success with "Saved" in 1980. It was another collection of religious songs.

In 1981, he released a mixture of secular and religious songs called "Shot of Love." A tour followed that project spotlighting many of his 1960s hits along with many gospel songs.

The media buzz about Dylan's possible gospel project has been overshadowed by yet another for the music icon. The Swedish Academy announced last Thursday Bob Dylan has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2016 for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition."

It took nearly a week for Bob Dylan to acknowledge his recent Nobel prize. But that acknowledgement of the award quickly disappeared from his website.
