Election '08: The Campaign in Pictures

12-29-2008

What an amazing year 2008 was for The Brody File. As a team, we traveled from one side of the country and back - three times over.

The Brody File logged some serious frequent flyer miles to interview newsmakers from Alaska to Puerto Rico, California to New York, and everywhere in between.

God was truly with us on our journeys, making for safe travel each step of the way and allowing us to score interviews we never thought possible.

From President-elect Barack Obama to Gov. Sarah Palin to Sen. Hillary Clinton and Pastor Rick Warren, The Brody File asked the tough questions and got some pretty amazing answers - many of which made headlines and drove news coverage across the country.

Covering the election was no easy feat. We worked wherever we could: on the floor, in the rental car, on the airplane, in a random restaurant in the middle of nowhere while eating.

A special thanks goes to our phenomenal team of photographers and editors who lugged tons of heavy equipment in the heat, rain, snow and sleet and with very little sleep.

We are also very grateful to our news teams on the home front in Virginia Beach and Washington, D.C. who copy-edited our work, posted our stories to CBNNews.com, looked-up directions, made phone calls and prayed for us through equipment failures, lost luggage, almost-canceled interviews, and so much more.

The Brody File journalled our trip with hundreds and hundreds of photos.

Take a look at the Presidential candidates we interviewed and followed on the campaign trail.

Once you finish this, take a minute to see what it's like behind-the-scenes The Brody File. Yes - there is a picture of David Brody getting all made up for the camera.

What a year it has been and what blessing to have covered it all. The photos in these slideshows were taken by CBN News staff.
