GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz calls Donald Trump a, “force of nature” and explains to The Brody File why he didn’t attack Trump earlier in the race. “What I had to do first was build my foundation. I had to build – before I worried about any other candidate – I had to worry about my campaign, my base, my foundation, so that when I took Donald on, it was standing – to use the Biblical terminology – on a foundation of stone and not sand, that I was standing in a position of strength.”
Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Ted Cruz: “Some folks in the media have criticized me, ‘well a year ago why didn’t you blast into him?’ Listen, Donald is a force of nature, I will give him credit for that, he is a media celebrity, and you can’t take him on from a position of weakness. What I had to do first was build my foundation. I had to build – before I worried about any other candidate – I had to worry about my campaign, my base, my foundation, so that when I took Donald on, it was standing – to use the Biblical terminology – on a foundation of stone and not sand, that I was standing in a position of strength.”
