China Christians to Government: Thou Shalt Not Steal!

Somebody needs to remind Chinese government officials of the 8th Commandment.

As if the removal of as many as 2,000 crosses from atop church buildings within the past two years, and the bulldozing murder of a pastor's wife were not enough, its crackdown against the country's Christian community has intensified.

Now, China Aid reports that offerings are being seized from churches. The Church bank accounts belonging to Living Stone Church in Gui Zhou Province and Olive Tree Church in Guang Zhou have been frozen. Olive Tree Church is also being fined  $1200 per month and the pastor has been imprisoned.

The Texas-based organization reports Chinese flags have forcibly replaced crosses atop a number of churches and the Communist Party is requiring some  to accept party workers as church employees so it may more closely monitor church activities.

China Aid founder Bob Fu says Chinese Christians are now facing the worse period of persecution since Mao's Cultural Revolution.

View video clip number one to hear what Fu says is motivating the government to act:

Fu says while many church leaders have told him they rejoice in the suffering, some churches have hired lawyers to defend their God given rights.

How should American Christians respond? Listen to Fu's comments in clip #2:
